Pint on tap at Nola, Adelaide. I'm pretty sure they described this as a Golden Ale but I may be mistaken. Pours a hazy amber with a solid white head. Subdued dank earthy aroma with notes of fruit. Medium carbonation, nice lacing. Light body with a bit of zing. Nutty finish with late lemon. Golden Ale or California Common? Doesn't matter. It's a nice beer.

Bottle. Amber with a coat of pale beige head. Aroma of toffee, biscuit, butterscotch, floral and spicy hops. Perhaps slightly lighter bodied than suggested by the aroma and certainly by the ABV, it’s moderately sweet with layers of toffee, peach and biscuit. Lightened by floral and mild lemon and boiled orange notes, then sent home with strong bitterness. A bit of booze pokes out there too. The texture is soft and slightly creamy but the finish is maybe a bit on the crunching side. Still, another characterful drop from Beard and Brau. I think many people would describe this as an ESA rather than an IPA.

Bottle - sadly I was unable to make it to Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival this year. A loud pop and a slow gusher - quelle surprise. Gold with a large white head. aroma of mandarins, hay and passionfruit. Light bodied, fairly high carbonation. Fruity with moderate bitterness. Not very sweet at all to start with, doesn’t dry out. Lots of citrus and a weedy/ herbal touch. Very refreshing indeed.

Bottle. Dark amber with an inch of light beige head. Aroma of toffee, bread, flowers. Creamy texture, medium-high carbonation. Fairly sweet with loads of toffee, some sticky bread crusts. Pine, grapefruit and some pepper and mace creep up towards the long bitter finish. Solid, hearty beer with hops shining more at the end than at the beginning.
