Description
Botley Brewery is a local micro brewery brewing traditional ales using local produce where possible. We have a core range of three great tasting ales as well as seasonal offerings.

Brewery opened in May 2010. A 5BBL plant is used and was initially based at The Old Cooperage, High Street, Botley. The brewery relocated to its current address in late 2011. Under new ownership since 2012.

Cask (backlog). Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some wooden, mild resiny as well as some slight nutty notes. Flavour is mild fruits,some wooden notes, mild herbal and grassy notes as well as some bready malts to it. Simplistic, but quite nice considering the rather low abv.

Cask. Goldeny amber colour with a mediumsized fluffy/bubbly head. Aroma is malty, caramelly as well as some floral, wooden and resiny notes to it. Flavour is quite nice on the floral and wooden hoppy notes and also has some slight bready and quite crisp malty notes to go with it. Good balance, and quite easy to drink ESB.

Cask (gravity) @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, open and frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing to lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light nutty, light to moderate hoppy, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, malty, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120504]

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, zesty, mild bready and caramelly notes as well. Flavour is mild honey, some fruits, zest, herbs and quite malty notes. Ends a bit bitter. Refreshing.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Orangeish ambery colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild toasted notes, some nuttyness as well as caramel. Flavour is sweet malts, mild toasted notes, some slight nutty notes along with mild tea leafs.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, earthy and mildly yeasty. Flavour is fruity, floral, caramelly with some mild herbal and sweet notes. Also some mild nectary notes towards the finish.

Cask conditioned at Reading BF 2012. Clear copper colour lasting beige head. Earthy best bitter. Some toffee bit of leafy earthiness on the finish. Bit of tingle. Yes simple but well put together. Fine
