Bottle - snagged a couple before they disappear. Nutty chocolate malt and herbal hay aroma. Chestnut brown with small head. Sweet creamy nutty caramel malt flavor. Body on the light side. Pretty good.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 8/2014. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toast, vanilla, bourbon, oak, pear, apple, and oak/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toast, vanilla, bourbon, oak, pear, apple, and oak/toasted earthiness. Light bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toast, vanilla, bourbon, oak, light pear/apple, and oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity and robustness of dark/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with a good malt/barrel balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a nice barrel aged strong ale. All around good robustness and balance of dark/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

My bottle says nothing about clay street, just saying, WTF. From a bottle at vintage it seems a little darker than yer typical pale ale. Smells like typical beer fer sure. Taste has a ropey feel and leathery taste to it. Had a few of these bluegrass beers, this one has a little bit of that citrus feel to it without bitter hoppiness. Decent co2 throughout. Finishing off this bottle I think its not so alky so I guess it hides the alky well. No alky content specified on this website. If its a american strong ale, heheh, HAH. Pretty funny. Decent finish if this is a high alky beer, of course there is no ratiung for this on RB, so it seems pretty mild, thinkin its around 5%, so, I guess its pretty low %. How on earth could this be a strong ale? Who knows, go figger.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Nice aromas of floral hops, citrus and resin with some malt in there as well. Fairly well-balanced between caramel malt and bitter hops on the palate. Biscuity malt flavors appear is it comes to room temperature. Nice bitter finish.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Nice vanilla, cacao and bourbon notes on the nose. Taste is thin-bodied and watery. Carbonation is too fizzy. Fruit notes show up as it comes to room temperature. Overly sweet. Kind of a mess.

Old rating. Bottle from old town. Vanilla, cacao and malts on the nose with a touch of bourbon. Tastes smooth and slightly bittersweet on the palate. Gets a little boozy as it comes to room temperature. Not bad but overall just kind regular.
