Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts, over carbed. The aroma is roasted malts and pine. Medium mouth, roasted malt, earthy hop, lingering bitterness, decent.

Sample from growler at KurtKeller 021: Pappy-tastic 01 on 03/06/2015. The beer pours an inky black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of oaky bourbon, dark chocolate and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon, coffee and malt. The finish is boozy with a bourbon and chocolate malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Bottle. Creamy vanilla caramel malt and straw aroma - does smell like cream soda. Hazy amber with huge light tan head. Slightly sweet woody caramel malt and moderately bitter herbal flavor. Pretty good.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, dark amber with a giagantic, slow dissolving light tan head. Vanilla, woody caramel aroma. Taste is creamy, caramel malt, vanilla. A light bourbon dryness.......but not much bourbon flavour...only a hint. Dry, earthy bittering.... Pretty good...a bit weak...and the never-ending giant head is really aggravating.

Bottle: Clear, amber-copper with a thin, off-white head. Orange, honey-cough syrup aroma. Taste is semi-sweet, spicy orange malt, juniper flavour. Slight alcohol bittering, but rather well masked for the strength... Resiny....solid bitter.

tap at Summit City - Pours hazy gold with well lacing white head. It has a citrusy, funky aroma. The flavor is mildly bitter with citrus and spice notes. It’s fairly crisp and finishes mildly bitter.

Draft. Bourboun, orange/banana, and chocolate malt aroma. Cloudy brown with small head. Sweet banana, orange, chocolate malt, and moderately strong bourbon flavor. Bourbon dominates but doesn’t overwhelm the maltiness (except maybe the spice flavors - really didn’t detect any). Interesting and pleasant.

Draft. Milky raspberry and caramel malt aroma - very nice. Hazy golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet tangy raspberry, orange, caramel malt, and very light bitter orange peel flavor. Raspberry aroma and flavor comes out more as it warms. Malt flavor much less than the aroma would tend to indicated. Apparently this batch didn’t pick up as much of the raspberry as in the past.
