Description
Solway Cider was setup in 2005 by Garry Parsons, a Bristolian guy exiled in Cumbria, who just wanted the taste of proper cider in his new surroundings. Fair play to him I say, as I couldn’t survive myself for too long without having a decent tipple to try.

From a polypin at Worcester Beer Festival, 14/08/10. Pale yellow. Spicy, slightly earthy pear juice aroma. Easy drinking, with plenty of pear juice and a medium finish. Good.

Thanet Cider and Perry Fest 08. The only one they didn’t have an ABV for. Some mint, some tannin on this, bit of shoe polish. Bit of yeast. Yes, some cider apple, but a bit muted on the fruit. Lots of mint all the way through. Some good tannin and dryness.

Bag in a box at Haddenham Beer Festival, 05-07-08 Pour hazy mid golden colour and the nose gave no indication of the shocker that was to come. I can honestly say that this was the first cider that I’ve had that tasted of boiled eggs, I passed it around our group and it was unanimously slated I’m afraid to say, I had to pour it, it was just awful.
