On tap at the Brauhaus. Dark amber in the glass, white thick head. Last year it was a bit more chestnut-colour, as the name suggests... The beer starts smooth, a bit sweet. Nice malts, fruitiness, slightly bitter. The mainpart is fullbodied, malty-bitter, a slightly bit caramel. Yellow ripe fruits. The aftertaste is quite dry, sharp and bitter-malty. --> I remember it being better last year... --> 10/10/8/9

Rating from 2010: Dunkelgoldene Farbe, süßlicher Geruch. Der AT ist weich mild, relativ malzbetont-süßlich, Der HT ist intensiv, malzig-süßlich, schon fast zu süß. Erst im NG kommt eine leicht grasige Herbe hinzu, noch angenehm mit der schon fast stechenden Süße harmonierend, aber doch schon penetrant süßlich.
--> Nettes Bier, aber auf Grund der schon fast klebrigen Süße als ideales Sommerbier zu schwer. Ansonsten vollmundig-weich mit ausgewogenen Komponenten.

Light light unclear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, light hoppy, light sugar - sugary malt, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long to average duration, caramel, malt, heller bock flavor, malty, malt sweet, light hoppy. Wenig süßer Antrunk, leicht röstig, mild. Geringe Malzigkeit, ebenfalls nur wenig hopfig. Der Hopfen steigert sich leicht, die Bitterkeit ist zum Ende erschmeckbar und passt zum sonst milden Abgang. 12/10/9/8//9

Deutlich getreidiger Antrunk, hell, mild. Angenehme Herbe mit stärker werdender Hopfigkeit, an dem Mittelteil trocken, was die Bitterkeit betont. Würzig bitteres Finish. 12/9/8/10//10

Draft at the brewpub. Clear dark amber color, huge tan head. Aroma of brown bread and caramel. Taste is sweet with a touch of smoke. Nice.
