Cask (Harp, Covent Garden, London) - Very dark brown, almost black, with a small tan head. Roasted malt, plain chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Roasted malt, liquorice, coffee and Bournville chocolate feature in the smooth taste.

(Cask at White Horse, Parsonโs Green, London, 26 Nov 2011) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, caramel and raisins. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, dark bread, raisins, burnt sugar and a slightly roasty bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Nice one.
