Clear and deep copper coloured with a brownish tint. Thin layer of foam. Ripe fruit notes in aroma. Moderate bitter sweet flavour with a component of dark berries and malty hints behind. Rounded taste. An average English bitter (Half on gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival, 28.09.2006).

Cask at Merton Beer Festival July 7th, 8th 2006. Very dark brown in colour with dark head. Roasted and woody notes linger in this smooth easy drinking Porter finished it before thinking was that it, not bad at all but not quite hitting the mark.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Black beer with ruby edges. Dark beige head. Really nice porter aroma. Good dark roast malt, but the fruit is excellent. Smooth velvety aroma. I like it, but it lacks that extra something to make it a better beer. Bit of smoke.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. I am sure that they were trying to make something in this style, but missed by quite a long way. Having said that though, this isn’t a bad beer. Amber, bubbly off white head. Herby hop aroma.. Soft and cold in the mouth with some toffee. I quite like the harsh finish which has more toffee

Gravity cask at Red Lion Snargate, Kent. Reddish copper colour, smell of a wheat beer. Quite rich some sweet fruit and then really bitter hop finish. Good balance and well made. Very interesting and different
