Tap at Prague Beer Fest. Don't see these guys often so I went for it... oh my. Slightly hazy full golden body, white head. Butter, heaps on butter on some citric and peachy notes. Butter dominates the taste, followed by caramel, light herbal notes, vague fruit and big carbonation. I mean come on... how do you manage to pull this off...

Tap at Pivo a Párek. Murky brown-amber body, off white head. Hmm... Wormwoody herbal aroma, dry maltiness, okay. Dry taste, clean lightly caramelly maltiness, wormwood, slightly astringent finish. Okay, this time it definitely had the herbal aspect.

Tap PaP Žižkov. Hazy golden body, everlasting thick white head. Fruity aroma, apfelstrudel, minty touches, sweetish. Minty appley estery taste, smooth, clean, fruity. Slick, smooth body. Some light herbal touches that start taking over. A pretty Czech take at an abbey ale, but not bad really!

Tap at Zubatý Pes. Misty hazy amber-golden body, thick off white head. Sweetish flowery-malty aroma. Clean sweet malty taste with light flowery notes and that's all. Very much not a pilsner in my opinion, at least not in this shape and form, a malt-driven Czech lager and okay overall, just far from the top tier.
