(bottle) Hazy reddish brown colour with a big foamy tanned head. Slightly sour caramel-malty aroma with fruity undertones and hints of glue and even puke. Cara-malty and slightly wheaty taste with caramel, light bodied, medium carbonated. Watery malty and slightly bitter finish. Not recommendable.

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a short foamy white head. Strawy cake dough aroma with a hoppy background. Initially light sweet malty with a round hoppy bitterness. Perhaps a bit bland and boring, but clean and drinkable.

(bottle) Hazy orange colour with a big foamy and slightly off-white head. Dusty and yeasty nose with distinctive notes of cloves and a shy fruity and malty background. Light-sweet malty taste with dense notes of bananas, clovy and malty finish, which is quite thin. Way too light-bodied Weizen that lacks furthermore taste.

(Bottle 33 cl) I’ve had the strong version of this before, but the concept is the same: yuppie style beer in a blue bottle, apparently brewed on glacier water from Greenland. Fully golden, slightly hazy with a huge, creamy head. Lovely full body, with a malty sweetness and only a wee touch of bitterness. Quite pleasant - in spite of all. 230302

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes in a cool blue bottle - yuppie style. Apparently brewed with glacier ice from Greenland - or is this the world’s biggest con? Kinda weird transporting ice to Germany for brewing ain’t it? Anyways, the beer is pretty and reddish golden with a small, dense head. Unusually strong for a German lager, I bet some brewing sugars are added here which might explain the sweetness. Still rather easy to drink though as some hops add bitterness and balance. 140401
