Hazy amber - doesnt really look like a classic tripel. Slightly sweet and slightly floral aroma. Sweet, floral character that is almost sticky before the alcohol takes over.

A hazed amber IPA with a thick frothy light mocha head, overflowing. In aroma, biscuit malt over grassy pungent hops, floral and pleasant. In mouth, a good intense citrusy hops, floral and resinous, with light biscuit malt, a bit over the top but decent.

Brown bottle, 355 ml, via Luc Bourbonnière (merci!), savoured November 30 2011; eye: copper, clear, minimal effervescence, tan head that turns into a tiny ring, light lacing; nose: malt, grain, light fruity, light smoke, caramel, light ash; mouth: malt, light alcohol, slight fruity, finale in malt with presence of alcohol, medium body, average carbonation, slightly sweet, alcoholic texture; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 355 ml, via Luc Bourbonnière (merci!), savourée le 30 novembre 2011; œil : cuivrée, limpide, effervescence minime, mousse fauve qui se transforme en un petit anneau, légère dentelle; nez : malt, grain, léger fruité, léger fumé, caramel, léger cendré; bouche : malt, léger alcool, très léger fruité, finale en malt avec présence d’alcool, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, très légèrement sucrée, texture alcoolique; en résumé : ordinaire

A cognac amber ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity esters, caramel malt, curacao, and alcoho. In mouth, a smooth sweet candy sugar with light orange pulp, caramel, alcohol, nice and smooth. Bottle at Spadina Freehouse, Nov.2 2011.

A deep dark brown porter with reddish hues, and a thin mocha head. In aroma, smooth sweet chocolate with light herbal notes and lactic points. In mouth, a grassy herbal chocolate with light funk, coffee, lactic points, not bad. 5$ for a glass at Calories, Saskatoon.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a small dark brown foamy head with average retention and some light lacing. Aroma of coffee, dry roasted malt with some light black chocolate is mix in with some light vinous and dry raisins notes. Taste is an interesting mix between some black chocolate notes and dry roasted malt with some very light coffee notes but there is also some subtle but discernable notes of dry raisins and vinous notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another interesting experiment brought forward by Sherbrooke.

A lightly hazed blonde pils with a thick receding off white head, lightly lacing. In aroma, fresh grainy malt with faint Czech hopping. In mouth, a smooth clean crisp biscuit malt with grassy Czech hops, lightly lingering. This one was from Piscator (Dec 2009) and, although its attenuated, its still not too bad.

Hazy amber color; generous head. The aroma is mild, malty and fruity. Good body strength; a bit overly carbonated; good malt flavor, some residual sweetness, pleasant fruits from the fermentation. Solid stuff.

Beautiful amber color, with copper and red reflex; small head. The aroma is not fascinating: candy cotton and vegetables; we have some fermentation problem here. Quite dry mouthfeel, with just strong caramel flavor and light toffee; very strong bitterness, with much dry resins, but just subdued hop qualities. Not bad, but sub-par.

Hazy golden color, small head. The aroma is very perfumy, not only malt, but also a peculiar citrusy fruitiness. Quite good malt body, with strong bitterness, rather resiny at the end, refreshing overall. Good.
