Bottle from Firefly, Vancouver
Hazy golden color, small head. The aroma is very perfumy, not only malt, but also a peculiar citrusy fruitiness. Quite good malt body, with strong bitterness, rather resiny at the end, refreshing overall. Good.

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of spices and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours dark brown with a reddish hue. Roasty tones on the nose and flavour, with light coffee notes and medium balance of hops. Decent.

Bottle thanks to savvy1982. Pours with a black body and a tan head that fades rather quickly. Aromas of chocolate, nuts, grain, a bit of coffee. Not a whole lot, seems like a rather weak aroma. Flavors, again, I’m getting surprisingly little (and it is not like my palate is shot, the previous beers were an ESB and a small lager). Some graininess and bitterness. A bit of roasted malt and associated acidity. Some coffee. Some biscuity flavors. Lively bubbles. Kind of a bland stout.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours dark brown with a reddish tinge. Aroma of English malts and light spices (vanilla and nutmeg). Flavour is much the same - medium and soft/warm body, though lacking any particular depth. Decent.

Sampled at GCBF2010. Saaz aroma. Pale golden, creamy head. Light body with a great Saaz wallop. Herbal notes. Slightly too fast finish. Nice hops though.
