Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a copper color with a thin white foamy head. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet Belgian yeastiness flowing over some floral and spicy notes. Light banana, some red delicious apple and then some allspice.
The flavor balanced between the spice, yeastiness and sweet notes. Crisp with a touch of the spice and yeast in the aftertaste. Dry sweet sort of apple to banana to yeast and spice finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt good as well for what it is.
Overall, nicely done Belgian strong ale that I could come back to.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a semi-dark muddy brown color with a less than a finger’s worth of white head. Messy lace.
The aroma had some biscuits, white toast, butter, butterscotch, toffee, caramel, a touch of vanilla, wood, and at the end some cinnamon.
The flavor leans towards the sweet side bringing in the dry sweet edge of the wood and gives just a touch of the cinnamon spice to round it out. Malty smooth sweet aftertaste to lead into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionabile to sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, nicely done English styled strong ale that I would have again.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown color with a little off white head that dissipated at a decent pace. Left some stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet dark fruits blending with some brown sugar, roasty coffee beans and some milk chocolate.
The flavor blended all of those previously mentioned aromas sweetly and letting the roast smoothly move in underneath. Adds some toast in the aftertaste and lets in a semi-delicate sweet to roasty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, nicely done English styled Porter that I would like to have again.
