(Bottle at Pikkulintu - 5.8 % ABV, batch 012/10) Poured deep amber and hazy. Head was quite large and almost white. Aroma was musty and contained mats and cow house. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were malts carboard, yeast, sweetness and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and mildly bitter. Perhaps this bottle was too old.

3rd August 2010. GBBF
Slightly hazy amber beer with a tiny white head. Light dry palate. Dry malt and watery hop. Very much like so many English bitters. I prefer it when the Italians do their own thing rather than (accurately) emulate bland English beers! And the abv stated for this was 3.7% which seems much more in keeping with itโ€™s blandness than the 5.4% quoted on the entry.

Courtesy of SHIG. Pours copper with thin white head. The aroma has some mildly roasted malts, a bit of caramel malts, some spicy hops, a touch of sweet apple and tropical fruit as well as a bit of pine at the end of the draw. The taste pushes up notes of roasted malts and then an interesting mix of spicy hops and earthiness that seems to then roll into pine hops and a mild lingering sweet citrus. Nice stuff.
