Although I was super happy to find a TG on tap in China, it’s sadly not up to the other Sue’s I’ve tried. Too much fennel which I didn’t expect and didn’t want in an IPA.

Glad to now have Toppling Goliath in-state, but I wish their trio of footprint-expanding sixers were more impressive. King is the only Sue I can see myself drinking regularly; Pseudo's a session IPA in pale ale's clothing, and Cyber Sue, while perfectly fine, is perfectly fine in a market chock to the gills with very good IPAs. I like the bitterness, like the balance between old-school West Coast hop notes with newer tropical ones, but it's not a game-changer. I'm whelmed.

12oz bottle drunk 8/9/25. 2024 vintage.
Clear, maple, mahogany, small, light tan head.
Wow that's a lot of caramel macchiato. Wheres the bourbon, though?
Tired of asking where's the barrel in TG stouts. It's a tasty beer, great caramel and vanilla and coffee. Nice lightly syrupy texture. But wheres the barrel?

12 oz bottle. Thank you Clarkvv!!! Aroma of cinnamon, maple syrup and chocolate. The flavor possibly has some coffee, but absolutely follows aroma to a T. Rich and dessert like. This is bourbon barrel aged? Where is the barrel? Mouthfeel and texture are good. Flavor is good. This still is a “ group think “ imperial stout.

Tap at GTMW. Sweet, heavy, rich, decadent. Syrupy and over the top, but really excellent for the style.
