Test vom 19.10.2006, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 6,7,6,6,11,6 - 6,40

Deep gold colour, no head. Vaguely malty aroma, with sour apple and pears. Malty-fruity palate with tropical fruit notes (dragonfruit, mango). Fairly bland overall. Postscript: Found at a Chinese restaurant in Phnom Penh.

Canned. Golden colour, brief dishwater head. Swet pineapple jam aroma. Soda like but compared to Zhujiang Golden Cola Beer (deemed as not worthy a Ratebeer entry) at least this works OK as a thirst quencher, even if it’s qualities as a beer are minimal.

This won a bronze at the World Beer Cup in Aspen in June 02, in a category called Tropical Lagers, light. Nothing special, a mainstream lager with slightly more malt then average. Consequently slightly more body as well.
