Poured from the tap. Clear bright gold with small white head. Clean and crisp, citrus hops, touch of tropical hops, mild resin. Decent, but not a standout.

16 oz. can, pours black with a large tan head. Nose is rich, with a big base of roasted malt that gives way to coconut, vanilla, lactose and a hint of coffee. Flavour is rich and roasty at the core, with a solid roasted malt and dark espresso character, accentuated by plenty of coconut, a little vanilla and gentle sweetness from the lactose. I like that this style has solid roast and body -- it's not just dessert flavours. Rounded, sturdy and balanced expertly. Excellent.

16 oz. can, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops, light dankness, pine, and juicy melon. Flavour is juicy as hell, with bright piney hops, light resins, and juicy melon. Juicy, piney and citrusy, with wonderful depth. Excellent.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, crisp biscuity malt and some earthiness. Flavour is bright, with plenty of melon, stone fruits, sweet malt, and citrus hops. Sweet and candied; the sweet overpowers the hops. Not their best.

On tap at Juxt, pours a hazy bright yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out pithy stone fruits, some citrus hops, and a touch of chalk. Flavour is bright and fruity, with lots of stone fruits, some gentle dank hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely dank and fruity, with good clarity. Really good, as usual from Old Schoolhouse.

Taster shared with Matt. Appearance: almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma: resinous, piney, some citrusy and a bit of vegetable notes. Taste: along the same lines, nice body, bitter aftertaste. Overall: good example of the West Coast DIPA.

On tap at Chuck's Hop Shop - Greenwood, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with fresh piney hops, resinous hop oils, and just enough sweet malt to balance. Flavour is oily, with lots of robust resinous hop oils, a strong pine character, and crisp, lightly sweet biscuity malt back. Beautifully balanced; it's forceful in the piney and resinous hops, has an ample malt backbone, yet it's all that bitter on the finish. Really great.

22 oz bottle from Tavour, 2/17/20. Dark brown-black color, with a thick, creamy foam of brown head that leaves strong lacework on the glass. Strongly dry, roasted coffee aroma and flavor. Licorice, anise, and a little dark chocolate. Drinks full bodied, fairly bitter, and a little boozy. Pretty nice example of big, boozy adjunct-free Imperial Stout. Old Schoolhouse seems about right, because this is definitely an old school RIS (and I mean that in a good way). 7/5/8/4/15
