Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear golden. Interesting fruity/spicy aroma atop a bed of honey. Medium body, light and very fruity honey notes and then again this interesting fig flavour. A different and interesting mead. 061011

Another one courtesy of fiulijn (and another thanks!) and shared with omhper. Golden body, no head. Again sweaty tropical fruit mixing with light honey. Tropical fruit rounded by fig jam. Like they used the Sweet for the base and it ended a bit more balanced than the original and I dig it slightly. Slightly warming too now that I think of it.

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Clear golden. Aroma of butternut and fig jam. Mildly sweet with a citricity and raisiny notes from the figs. Medium bodied with some lavender. The slightest peppery alcohol tingle in the finish. Interesting and unusual.

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Clear golden. Aroma of butternut and lavender. Sweet, but not with the flavour intensity of sweet Polish meads. Rather slick with floral viola honey and subtle complexity. Alcohol is nicely hidden. Minty finish.

Courtesy of fiulijn (huge thanks!), shared with omhper. The aroma is light, nice honey bludgeoned down by slightly sweaty passionfruit, which isn’t completely nice. The taste is unique, definitely strange. Sweet, yeah. Tropical fruits abound. Perfumey. Not bad, but I don’t find it... well... too appealing. The mouthfeel is nice, the taste is weird, the aftertaste just slightly off. Kinda dull. Eh, not my type of mead.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours clear and golden yellow/orange with no head. Aroma is light mouldy and overripe fruity. Sweet, fruity, mango and peaches, light banana. Lingering mash of fruit on the overripe side. Ends sweet and lingering into a sweet far finish. Nice, yet a bit too sweet for me.

Bottle 750ml. @ chriso s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011.Clear medium orange yellow colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, earty, figs, soap, sweet honey, riped earthy figs. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, earthy, honey. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to light moderate alcoholic. [20110730]
