Description
Mike Hess Brewing is one of the premier craft breweries of San Diego. We set out with a mission to bring people together over great beer and were early on in the craft beer revolution. We were the region’s 33rd brewery back in 2010 when our first location, then a nano-brewery, in Miramar was opened. Now, in our 10th year, we have 5 locations in California, including the “OG” spot, which has since tripled in size!

12 ounce can thanks to the big Santa. Opens with one of those crazy pull tabs, pours a clear golden hue with a large white head. A big grapefruit oily nose. Rich, really huge grapefruit, bitter, slick palate, some soft perfume. Good, but the grapefruit is overwhelming.

Can pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is big sweet grapefruit candy notes and some bread. Taste is more of the nice sweet grapefruit candy notes and a bitter end.

Poured up on tap at the North Park brewpub where it exhibits a hazy gold body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up grapefruit, thin pineapple and a hit of lime. The taste delivers crisp grapefruit, tangelo and mango. To midway the juicy citrus and modestly bitter grapefruit help dry out the experience some. Well crafted product. Balanced, crushable.

From a can. Foggy light lemon yellow pour thin brief off white head. Light crisp citrus pith and floral somewhat grassy hops character. Not much to it. Didn’t love it
