Pours a dark coppery color, topped with decent white head. Retention is fine. There is a slightly fruity and caramely malty aroma which is easily picked up and very nice. The taste is sweet and very light (watery). The body is quite flat. Slight biscuity feel and little caramel too. OK, but.... not that great.

330ml bottle at home. Pours deep amber, light caramel aroma. Has a distinct English bitter character, thin malts, vague caramel, bready, weak hops, watery and very disappointing!

Good looking 0,33 l bottle. Bought in a german small town bottle shop. Dark amber or is it brown in the glass? Clear, nearly no head. Low malty in the nose. Tastes like ... I have to think ... like watery black tea? Guys, do you use hop for your beer that you call East India Pale Ale? Maybe it´s a thin ale. But nothin´ more. Disappointment! Okay, I get a new country tick.

Can shared by Cuso. Aroma is sourish and astringent. Disgusting. Soapy. Taste is sweet sugary, true malinovka.

Dark amber colour, Malty nose. The beer starts watery, a bit malty-sweet. The mainpart is also very watery, malty-sweet, easy to drink. The aftertaste is flat, watery, slightly malty-sweet and kind of boring... --> 6/12/5/6

Bottle from The Beer House, Paddington Station, London. Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with molasses, biscuit, caramel and hoppy notes. Quite heavy sweetness to taste, and fizzy carbonation. Sticky texture.

1st Beer of a ’Random Beer Evening’. 330ml brown bottle, badged ’Blond Lager’: 3 months out of date when poured into a Duvel glass on 17 Aug 2013. Looked fine: clear and clean, deep golden body with a full white crown of bubbles on top. Aroma of wet cardboard with a metallic clunk to it: some sweetness too. Grainy taste, with added sugar, not nice at all. Tried to get into it, but failed: had to open a packet of crisps to help me finish the glass off. Worst beer I’ve had from New Zealand: not that I’ve had many.
