Small (medicine) bottle. Black, tiney beige head, nonlasting. Nice malty nose, biscuits, some chocolate, sweet. A bit roasted with hints of alcohol. Later on more chocolate, gentle wood and even slight smokiness. Gentle bitterness, slight sweetness, hints of black currant. Strong woody-smoky-whisky presence, not too strong. Medium body, pretty noticeable alcohol, wuite warming though not burning despite the %. Slow sipper.

On tap @ Ghetto Something. Aroma is citrusy, floral, piney and yeasty. Pours cloudy pale golden color with large creamy white head and good lacing. Taste starts tart citrusy, herbal and floral, following is bready with gooseberry note, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Not a “whoa”, a bit wild and pretty quaffable…

Tart and a bit sour, fruity, salty. Passion fruit, not much mango, nice.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of chocolate, Jaffa cakes, licorice and leather. Pours dark brown color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head. Taste starts with moderate sweet chocolate, roasted malt and nuts, follows by orange, chili, licorice and faint smoke, mouthfeel is warm and spicy, while finish is mild grassy bitter. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Orange county…

-1 point for the unnecessary wax. No head but some disparate bubles over veiled straw-orange beer. Sour nose, with vinous-malonic touches, sour peach, acetic acid and solvent, aldehydes. Less of the former, but still quite some solvent. Lactic acid, again malonic/vinous touches, if harsher, severe. Aldehydes, the solvent returning retronasal. Acidburn and -thinning, not very carbonated, slick. The solvent & acetic components are too strong not to be considered as an off-flavour.

Bottle. A bit murky ruby red, small and nonlasting white head. Nice vinous nose, some mild sour cherries, rubber and balsamic presence. Later more cherries. Tart start, some vinous quality and rubber, stronger. Balzaimc burn in the finish. Tart aftertaste. Light and fresh. Lovely stuff.
