Another take away extra from Edinburgh crew. Nice dark pour with foamy head that goes nowhere. Nose is light toffee and chocolate. Tastes of dry chocolate, light toffee, licorice and red berries. Dry palate. Not too sweet and very drinkable.

Bottle from Desmondโs Next Door, Kimmage [130714]
Orange, hazy, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of pale malts, soft bit earthy spicy hops, light aroma
Taste of pale malts, bitter spicy earthy hops, brown leaves, touch of soft fruits, twiggy, touch of citrus zest, flavour not great when cold from fridge but improved after warming up. lot of flavour for abv, hoppy beer
Palate - soft carb, light body, bitter palate. Finish - lingering considerably bitter earthy finish...too bitter to be honest
Overall - Itโs a well made beer, I should be giving it 7 for taste and around 3.3 but Iโm just not keen on the flavour profile of these hops...I feel they should be used more subtly
