Keg at the North Park taproom, 15/11/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate light beige head. Nose is spice, dark malts, toffee, pumpkin seed, nutmeg. Taste comprises mellow pumpkin pie, toffee, spice, dark fruit rinds, nutmeg. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent pumpkin affair.

On tap on 2nd June 2015 at a Board and Brew’s outlet in Dana Point, California: the only beer from this brewery I have ever had before. 12th Jan 2015, shared at a Shrewsbury Bottle Exchange meeting: cheers Paolo for bringing this unusual and different brew. Bomber, split between five of us. Pours a typical Milk Stout colour and look: black with a tanned head. The nose however gives the game away somewhat as buttery esters tell you this is no ordinary Milk Stout. The aroma leads you into a taste that is also buttery, but with a strong vanilla flavour that overrides any chocolate or coffee notes that try to appear, the vanilla even held back the peanut flavouring. I quite enjoyed it but I could not have drank the whole bottle by myself.

22oz bomber pours with a very dark brown body that supports a weak dark tan head of brief foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts, sweetened coffee, a molasses sensation, sweet black licorice, cinnamon graham cracker, dark chocolate and then white chocolate at the end of the draw. The taste is smooth and pretty rich as it quickly picks up chocolate, a dash of sweetened coffee and then a dash of molasses. And then to midway it barrels straight into cinnamon graham cracker and a white chocolate sort of sweetness. Pretty cool brew.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown/black color stout with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of butterscotch and hazelnut with quite a bit of residual sugar is a bit surprising. Taste is also dominated by butterscotch notes with some hazelnut with quite a bit of residual sugar. Body is about average with good carbonation. A bit too sweet for my own taste and I could see the butterscotch notes becoming over the top if I was to drink too much of this beer.

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Half a finger of tan head with half a finger of tan head that quickly fades into a thin ring. Aromas of cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, marshmallow fluff, roast, milk chocolate. Tastes of mint, chocolate, light spices, light roast, some vanilla and lactose. Medium body with a dry finish.Medium-low carbonation.

Bottle at wpbf. Dark brown color, tiny beige head. Aroma has strong vanilla and peanut butter aroma. Medium-bodied. Lots of vanilla in the flavor. Sweet. Some peanut butter is there. Dessert beer in small quanties.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival Black, small beige head. Peanut butter dominate the nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Milk chocolate and peanut butter. Low bitterness. Peanut butter may be the most infantile ingredient in beer since marshmallows, but this is actually pretty balanced and tolerable.

Bottled@wPBFIII. Black colour small brown head. Aroma is nutty, some sweet toffee, fudge, vanilla and some mild liquorice. Flavour is peanut butter, some fudge, vanilla and mild toffeeish notes.

Aroma is very neat and sweet with lots of peanut butter and toffee ice cream. Flavour has toffee ice cream, peanut butter and mellow licorice tones. Sticky and sweet but I seem to enjoy this very much.
