Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours golden with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Sweet malty nose with some flowery hops, somewhat honeyish. Medium body with sweet and pleasant malts with some lovely aromatic hops. Ends dryish but with a very low bitterness. 161211

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dark amber/copper with a slight beige head. There seems to be a fruity spicy aroma. Near full bodied with sorta fizzy carb. Flavor is fruity, with some spicy hop. Enough spice to suggest xmas, but not enough to interfere with the huge malt body. But somehow it’s not all that dang sweet. And there is a hint of bitter grassiness. Very, very nicely done.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours amber with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of roast caramel (mild) and spicy noble hop. Med body. Mod carb. Flavor is mostly sweet light roast malt, but there’s a bit of grassy/spicy hop. But this stuff definitely tends towards the sweet side. Glad it’s not sweeter than it is.

"Fat Bastard Scotch Ale". Dark ruby, nut brown color, small beige head. Caramel, berries (red currant, strawberry) in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, caramelly, fudge, some berries. Lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. Quite well in style: strong and toffeish.

Courtesy of riversideAK, thanks Alex. Pours slightly hazy deep copper with thin tan head. The aroma has rich sticky malts, prunes and a bit of toffee and caramel candy. Smells of pure yum. The taste is rich for sure with sludgy sweet sticky malts mixing with prunes and dried peach wedges and a bit of dark grape jelly too. Around the edges of the malts and dark fruity esters are mostly echoes of pine hop resiny bitterness. The hops are there but well off in the background. This is a very nice barleywine. Wow!

Another yummy brew sent to me from riversideAK. Bomber pours dark ruby red with mahogany like core and mocha head. The aroma is rich with caramel malts, a bit of spicy anise, malt balls and some sweet smelling dark fruity esters. The taste is just as rich with loads of roasted malts heading quickly into burnt malts and dark fruity esters. This is bold smoothness with yummy pulses of goodness as flavor harmony abounds in every direction.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is mild roast malt with discernible floral/citrus/herb. Med body. It is instantly refreshing. Flavor is caramel, but any sweetness is strongly overcome with what is likely some noble hop version that isn’t very grassy. Does seem nicely, but mildly, spicy. It’s a good beer.
