Bottled. Cloudy nut brown. Oaky nose. Sweet and full bodied. Vaniklla and oak dominates. It’s stil too sweet, but the oak aging has given it much more character and together with the alcohol it feels almost whiskey-like. Not very refined, but I find myself enjoying it.

Bottled. Clear nut brown. Appley toffee aroma. Sweet and mellow with medium body and sticky mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Warming perhaps, but it’s too cloying.

Draught at the Brouwer’s Cafe, Seattle. Clear dark ruby. Light buttery malt aroma. Very sweet and fruity with mellow mouthfeel. Near full bodied, notes of pineapple and strawberry jam. Fruit syrup is what remains in the finish. Some nice flavours, but very unlike a traditional bock with it’s sticky, mellow mouthfeel.

Bottle Pours a hazy amber with a full light yellow/tan head. Lots of sweet malty camel and brown sugar aromas. Nice citrusy hop note as well. Like some barley wines I’ve had. Flavor is more hop dominant. Graprefruit rind and piney. Feel is moderate and the finish is a long bitter bite. Quite lively carbonation. Nice overall showing from little po-dunk Silverdale.

Amber-bronze colour. Lime leaf aroma with piney accents and an earthy, caramel malt backd6rop. Quite bitter up front, citrusy, but fading to a blander hop and surprisingly mild caramelly maltiness. The finish is slightly sticky, with moderate bitterness. Too shy.

Moderate PNW hop aroma with plenty of syrupy malt. Moderate bitterness. Hops are a little dull. Indistinct malts are a little more forward, but again are not showing any clear character. Mouthfeel is a bit spritzy.

Light toffee aroma. Slightly sticky, chewy toffee flavours but still light. A bit thin in the body with an alcoholic finish. Overattenuated for the style, leaving a beer with no clear sense of direction.

Fairly roasty, chocolatey aroma. Creamy. Slightly fatty, like when you use to much butter making a batch of soup. Some cheap coffee and cheaper chocolate. Full bodied but watery - nitroesque. It’s not that the elements aren’t there, it’s just that they aren’t done very well.
