Cask at Old Silk Mill, Derby – served VERY cold. Pours a bright golden amber with a small foamy white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly malts with traces of nuts. Malts again in the mouth where it starts off fruity with raisins and bread rolls before it becomes fairly bitter (but with some slight underlying sweetness) with hints of marmalade. Fniish is bitter and somewhat dry. It’s OK, but may need a rerate when I taste it at a decent temperature !

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Light to mid-gold and clear with a thin ring of white head. Malty hay-ridden aroma with light golden syrup notes. Sweet taste, bready malt, some honey and agave syrup. Heavy body with no carbonation. Decent typical golden.

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark orange/ gold with a small uneven white head. Light aroma, some malty notes and overripe tangerine. Balanced taste weighed down by an astringent which becomes more prominent in the finish and bitter aftertaste. Firm oily body with little carbonation. Well put together.

Cask at Lillie Langtrey’s, Nottingham. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malt, yeasty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A simple pale ale. Fine for a session.

Cask, 1/3 pint at Nobody's Inn. Remaining off-white head over a deep ruby-black body, fair lacing. Lightly roasted smell, chocolate scent. Dark doughy taste, impacts of liquorice and black chocolate. Dark dough malty ending. Fair enough. (Grantham 13.11.2021).

På Nobody Inn i Grantham. Ultramørk amber. Filmskum med litt farge. Forsiktig aroma av brent karamell. Smaken nøtter & karamell. Beskjeden tørr avslutning.

Cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester, 08/10/21. Amber pour with a good sized off white covering. Nose is malt forward, dried fruits, biscuit, light toffee. Taste comprises biscuit malt, dates, stewed fruits, toffee, brown bread, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge. Not bad.
