Hazy yellow beer, firm white head. Aroma of yeast and spices, citrus, malts, wheat, slightly sour. Quite herbal, some hops. Rather sweetish malty flavour, light sour wheat and citrus. Very lively. Light bitter finish. Reminding of witbier. Refreshing and clean, maybe a bit too clean, I’d expect a historic beer to have a somewhat rougher character.

Good, lightly yellow head over hazy yellow beer with a very light greenish sheen. Nice, spicy nose with a lot of yeasty touches. Other grains, and strangely, ureum (though that might have been the not too clean glass). Spicy, yeasty, herbal, dry and finally hoppy (more prominent than the grains, strangely), much like a non-coriandered, well-hopped witbier. Finish has some marked sugary sweetness, at odds with the original dryness. Very spritzy (as the legends tell us), light bodied, wheatslickness. Tad of metallic feel at the tonguesides. Better than the average wit. Still, I think that it is probably too polished, compared to the historic examples...
