Description
Based behind the Black Horse Inn, in Caythorpe, this brewery started brewing in May 1997. A 2½BBL plant was used. During Summer 2005 the brewery was sold to new owners. In June 2010, the brewery upgraded to a 6BBL plant.

Cask at the 35th Luton Beer and Cider Festival. Pours pale to mid brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, fruit and veg. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Light body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ 35th Luton Beer & Cider Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, malt, hops and has a nice sweet finish.

Cask @ Luton Beer & Cider Festival. Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 160218

Tried st the hop and barley, Lincoln. Amber colour with a hits glad. Aroma fruity and light malt. Taste light sweet medium body.

On tap at the Hop and Barley, Lincoln. Cooper colour with a white head. Aroma is light malty and caramel. Taste light caramel sweet. Light body.

23rd Sep 2016: cask half-pint at the Shrewsbury CAMRA beer festival. Golden pour, white top. decent blend with the hops just about winning both the nose and flavour stakes. Floral in nature, it had a good balance and subtle taste. Nothing to get excited about, but OK.
