Draft at the source. Clear bright amber color medium off white head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel and flowers. Taste is burnt caramel, subtle bitterness. Tasty

Tap at Watzke Brauereiausschank Dresden. Beer of the month April. Secret beer. The waiter didnt want to tell me what beer this is. Comes light golden with a small head. Fine spicy aroma. Starts fine hoppy spicy, modest dry background. Light hints of pepper. Fruity notes of grapefruit. My guess is that this is something like a dry hopped Helles. Not bad.

“Altpieschner Spezial“, vom Faß im Watzke am Goldenen Reiter, Dresden. - Schönes Kupferrotgold, leicht trüb, sahniger Schaum. - In der Nase milde Hefe, feines Toastmalz und Karamel. - Antrunk hefig weich, mild toastmalzig und stark unreif mit schroffen Akzenten: chemisch wirkende Zitronenschale, Zahnkrem, Pfefferminzdrops, Pfeffer. Mild rezent. Im Abgang mehr unreife, scharfe Noten, eingebettet in derbe Malzbittere. Im Nachtrunk Mundwasser. - Arg ruppig-unreifes Gasthausbrauereien-Erzeugnis.

On tap in the Watzke bar near the Golden Rider: sat outside the afternoon sun on 10th May 2017. Misty amber/brown body, white topping. Malts first, second and third in the semi-sweet brew, caramel esters and flavours leading the way. My sweet tooth was really pleased I had a half-litre of this.

On tap in the Watzke bar near the Golden Rider: sat outside the afternoon sun on 10th May 2017. Cloudy amber body, off-white head that hung around for a while. Malty aroma, caramel in fact. Taste also dominated by malty flavours, a slight hop bitterness arrives in the drying finish.

On tap in the Watzke bar near the Golden Rider: sat outside the afternoon sun on 10th May 2017. Cloudy golden body, good white crown on top. Decent hop content, bitter and interesting, the malts almost holding their own against the hoppy brew. Went down very well after plodding the streets of Dresden all morning.

Draught. Amber colour, cloudy. Aroma is much banana with white bread. Alcohol well hidden. Very good.
