A wonderful training wheels IPA that was fairly innocuous in smell, taste and aftertaste. Some hops were noticeable, like a fly resting on your shoulder on top of a heavy sweater noticeable. Medium body. Ordered a jug with my step-dad’s over 70 y.o. hiking group and one guy got mad at me cause I ordered an IPA and he hates those bitter beers. Ultimately he was pretty happy I introduced him to a great IPA.

Dark brown color that doesn’t look anything like that bottle. Very malt with some noticeable chocolate malts. Mildly sweet. Fairly mainstream accented. Not actually bad, but not something I would order again.

Definitely peanut butter and chocolate on the nose, not too strong, but definitely that peanut butter cups smell that isn’t too bad at all. Has a modest head and okay dark copper body. Flavour is all chocolately peanut butter, slightly sweet on the finish but not too bad. Quite nice and drinkable if rather simple.

Has a thin head with kind of a dark lager body that’s got modest carbonation. Aroma is caramel and syrup, some ginger spice. Flavour is a heavy smoked feel with notes of hazelnut with slight spice finish, hints of swamp. Kind of cloying mouthfeel. Just about average for a darker seasonal brew.

650mL bottle, pours a dark hazy dull orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of earthy hops, and some vegetal notes (celery and cabbage). Flavour is along the same lines, with largely vegetal notes dominating. Really a bad hop quality to this. Not sure what they were thinking.

Draft half pint pour at S&H. Light caramel brown color with a swirl fizz head. A ton of brown sugar aroma with a nutty flavor. Grainy in the finish. Ibreally wiah this beer tasted exactly how it smells. Overall not bad. Par for a brown if you ask me.

Draught at London Pub, Vancouver
Dark amber color, clean, with compact head. Light biscuity aroma, and very light dusty coffee. The malt has some bready quality, some Carmel, the body is lean and rather dry, then there is a touch of artificial vanilla, and coffee.
Not the beer we need. I can’t see why brewing this one.

Cask at London Pub, Vancouver
Dark amber/red with no head. The aroma is a bit peppery. The flavor has some caramel; very light residual sweetness; this kind of beer doesn’t benefit from being cask conditioned; the adjuncts are not evident, instead again there is a chili pepper flavor. Very low bitterness.
Messy and unnecessary.
