Cloudy blond color with an orange shade, less murky than other casks from Dead Frog. The usual good beer, moderately sweet and spicy, a lot of yeast character; the fruity hops are evident in the flavor more than in the aroma; the strawberry is not evident at all. Solid brew.
Good Belgian (Imperial) IPA.

Bomber, government store. Golden, weak head. Bit heavy on the pale malt, light hops, touch too much alcohol.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with moderate retentive head. Aromas of bread dough, sweet malts, candied fruit, and light rubber. Surprising after the the nice nose, there’s not as much flavor. Full bodied malts with some piney spruce hints. Not unpleasant but mostly just a malty beverage.

On cask at Craft Beer Market, pours a hazy dark orange with a tiny white head. Aroma is very malt-forward, with tropical fruits, resinous hops and caramel malt. Flavour is rather strange, with lots of caramel malt and tropical fruits on top, followed by underlying bittering hops. Doesn't seem so cohesive. Too much malt and fruity sweetness. Okay, but not my thing.

On tap at Central City Yaletown, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet cereal malts, straw and corn. Flavour is robust, with grassy notes, cereal and straw. Strong but balanced and clean. Very well-made. ABV isn't apparent.

Flavour is similar, with jalape�o upfront, followed by citrus hops. The peppers steal the show, but don't dominate too much. Nice little cask one-off.

Flavour is about the same, with tropical fruits, jalapeño and citrus hops. Decent incorporation of the adjuncts, but it's not my preferred type of thing. Okay.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of dry bready malts and some resinous hops. Flavour is a decent balanced of dry caramely bready malts and resin. Seems a bit flat and dull, but it's decently balanced.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours an opaque dark red with a small beige head. Aroma is strong, with notes of alcohol, bready caramel malt and a kick of hops. Flavour is a little jagged, but still pleasant, with notes of alcohol, bready malt and resinous hops. Very alcoholic, even for 9%. Enjoyable but not overly sophisticated.

Difficult pour (a lot of foam), murky orange blond color with huge creamy head. Sweet, full bodied, with strong character from the yeast, no evidence of mango, resiny final.
