Bottle, believe it or not, at the Great British Beer Festival. Go figure. Hazy amber color, thin beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of sour butterscotch. Taste is similar with hefty sourness, medium funk, hi carbonation. Good stuff.

At GBBF 2011. Bottle. Cloudy mid brown colour. Lasting thin beige. Wow that is pretty sour beer. Really good woody sourness. Not a huge amount of genuine funk but love the infected nature of it. Touch of sour strawberries. Once got rid of the carbonation it was sour as hell. Beautiful if a touch too woody. Lovely sourness though really good palate refresher. Good

Location: Draft at La Trappe Cafe & Trappist Lounge, 5/12/11

Aroma: The nose is a rather interesting combination of lemon, dough, hay, and wormwood
Appearance: The pour is a hazy golden-orange color, fairly large, fluffly white head
Flavor: The taste is rather complex with an interesing mix of sweetness and barnyard
Palate: The body is medium, it has a pretty decent mouthfeel, and barnyard/yeasty finish to it
Overall Impression: I enjoy a good meaningless stat, so here's another one, my 50th Spice/Herb/Vegetable rating! And you thought my stats couldn't get more useless! This was a really interesting beer. It was really complex, and yet rather enjoyable. The wormwood gives it an almost brett-like feel, which I rather enjoyed. This was some pretty good stuff.

Bottle from Hi Time. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy 3 finger white head that collapses in dimples. Aroma of spicey cooked light fruits. Flavor is reminiscent of absinthe/wormwood, but that’s a long ago memory, so I could be off. It’s astringent. It’s woody. There are uncommon spices and maybe some bergamot. Grabs the attention, and it’s very refreshing.

750mL capped bottle. Gusher out the bottle but fortunately I was prepared so not much of a mess. The beer obviously pours with a large head that fades at a steady pace. The beer is a dull golden with a medium clarity. The aroma is strong on coriander, well frankly its all coriander with a sweet yeasty backing. Flavor is all coriander as well and just way too sweet. Frankly, its tastes like something I would brew when I under pitch my yeast and have too much coriander. The 750 is way too hard to finish, mostly a drain pour. This beer needs a better yeast, less sweetness, and less coriander. I can handle it in the aroma but not the flavor.
