Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is raspberries, yoghurt, dough, wheat, fresh yeasts. Taste is raspberry syrup, wheat, ahoibrause. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Way too artificial in flavour, the aroma was alright.

(Bottle, 0.44 l - batch #21 - BB 14/06/2018, from Alko, 20170928) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness tangerine and perfume. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tangerine, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nicely done hoppy brew. Bit too floral aroma.

Bottled 500ml (Alko web, BB I think 06/2018, batch #21)
Clear dark amber colour, smallish beige head. Malts, tangerine and some caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Zesty hoppyness mixed with maltyness - crystal malts and ripe fruits. Quick bitter finish. Kind of harsh. Hoppy but lacks fresh bite.

Nice and lightly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall head that fades nicely to a small bit of pale white on top. Aroma of bread, yeast, coriander seed, light wheat, grass, citrus and a dash of floral hops. Light-bodied; Ultra mild with a grassy flavour at first that gives way to some wheat, yeast, coriander seed, citrus, guava and papaya flavour that shows some of the sweetness on the very end. Aftertaste shows the depth of the wheat with some light grass and hay flavours then pushed aside by the wheat, yeast and touch of funky characteristics coupled with a light taste of fruit sugars. Overall, a very nice and flavourful krystalweiss with a decidedly South African and specifically Paarl vibe with some fresh fruits and juicy kick to a nice and mellow flavour throughout that gives it a much needed boost of complexity, but still very easy to drink. Great to sample in the warm weather and heat, which would be the opposite time of the year right now down in ZA! Definitely worth the space in your suitcase should you, like me, decided to bring this halfway around the world! I sampled this 440 mL South Africa-styled bottle, purchased from TOPS Cape Quarter (Green Point) in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa on 12-August-2015 for ZAR28,00 sampled at home on one of the last few hot days of the year here in Washington on the other side of this earth on 05-September-2017.
