33cl bottle (as Cape Point Lager) from Stockman, Helsinki. Pours clear golden with a white head. Grainy and slightly grassy with mild herbal notes. Moderate sweet with relatively low flavour intensity and mild, but quite pleasant bitterness. A tad boring, but certainly a decent lager.

340ml bottle. Clear, brown-ish, copper colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, with a touch of toffee, light herbal, leafy and citrusy hoppy overtones, a minimally doughy, yeasty touch as well. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty with hints of butterscotch and toffee, a touch of peanut, herbal and citrusy hoppy hints of lemon, lemon balm, red berries; lingering leafy and bitter hoppy finish with a touch of rooibos. Minimally creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine carbonation. Relatively dark IPA offside the mainstream.

25/4/2020. Bottle from The Savanna, Liverpool Street Station. Pours hazy orange amber with an average size white head. Aroma is piney, resinous, malty, caramel, hoppy and fruity. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this more than most South African beers I’ve had so far.
