Cask version, marks as above Mahogany-chestnut, clear; rather good head. Slightly fishy ( adequate, maybe?) & hoppy nose, but no C-hops onslaught. And then there’s both vanilla and diacetyl underneath. Sweet, butterscotch, toffee and a hop onslaught sticking uneasily on it. This is totally unbalanced and actually off-putting. Sticky, not to say cloying and very badly... "casked"??? A very poor show. They seem not to know how to handle this. Bottled, slightly aged, thanks to DonGS Hazy red-foxy; rosy-amber head, small but dense, leaving some good rings. 4 Some malts in a cookie way; hops abundant all the same, and a pretty vinous character. 7 Definitely some oxydation, licorice, fruity taste - raspberry pour. 6 Despite its ABV, and malt toll, it’s a bit watery - the oxydation? 3 Good, but it suffered from its - relatively short - aging. 14 = 3.4

Draught Beautiful dark mahogany colour with a clinging, fine & dense yellowish head. Greenery nose (parsley), and sweet malts - lots of them. Some sugar syrup and a touch of tobacco and moccha. Sweet taste, bit of licorice, ripe pears-like flavour. Just not great in any way. Sweet drinking ale. Achilles heel: very watery texture and like body, unsufficiently fed by the dark malts and restsugars. What is known as a "workmanlike" performance: it’ll do the job, but you cannot love it;

Cask version, marks as above Just hazy honey-yellow beer, persistent white head. Nice flowery, honeyish and grapefruit hoparoma’s. Very nice nose, something perfumey or bathtub-filler notwithstanding. Flowery, but not very assertive hoppiness in the taste, with obvious grapefruit flavour. Traces of diacetyl, not disturbing. Grapefruit zeste retronasal. Not very big bodied, but makes it more drinkable, even refreshing. Ah, so they CAN make cask ale, if they want. Quite OK IPA, just... why "Imperial"? Keg Nearly clear orange-amber; good stable, small just off-white head. 4 Grapey hops, biscuity (the cookies, not oxydized) aroma. 7 Bitterness is "delayed action", as first impression is sweet, then metallic bitterness kicks in. 7 Harsh, metallic resiny impression and feel 3 OK IPA, but again the delayed action diminishes it, specially in MF. 14 = 3.5

Hazy straw. Grapefruity, lemony aroma. Light pale malt with peachy notes. Fairly bitter. Clean and balanced, in that PNW sort of way.

Hazy amber colour. Fresh bread and hop aroma. Balanced character with bread crust and light toast from both hops and malt.

Slightly hazy amber colour. Interesting sweet caramel aroma with lots of brown sugar, and light fruits. Quite malty, almost candyish. Decent beer, though a bit too sweet for my tastes.

Draught at the Brouwer’s Cafe, Seattle. Clear dark amber. Appley nose. Very sweet, thick and syrupy. Plenty of malt, but everything gets lost in a sea of syrup. A dentists wet dream.

Bottle Pours a very light golden color. Quite hazy and a moderate puffy white head. Light ans sweet malts dominate the aroma but there are enough hops there to balance at first sniff. Flavor is more decidedly hoppy, at least at first. Fairly bitter. OK...at last as well. Quite dry and bitter in fact. The malts are a bit grainy, yes. Feel is moderatly heavy, and quite chalky.

Bottle Pours a hazy red-amber with a small dish water head. Lacing was actually very persistant and dense. Light malts in the aroma with a bit of a hop bite. Decent feel and a mild flavor overall. A session bero I supose and nice but not special.

Bottle Pours a clear dark mahogany with a full tan head that dissipates rather quickly. Lots of nice sheeting lacing. A maild dark malt aroma with some woody/grassy notes. Flavor is slightly smokey and woody. More like a brown ale. Lingering slighly acidiccardboardy flavor. Very little op character with soft carbonation and a fairly clean feel.
