On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a creamy dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has dark grains, a touch of coconut and roasted malts but is mainly sweet chocolate that has a hint of bitterness. Flavor is much more sweet chocolate with a bit of underlying coconut with underlying roasted malts.

Sample from growler at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, coconut and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of grainy malt, toasted coconut and chocolate. The finish is sweet and roasty with a chocolate covered coconut aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Bottle @ Darkness Day eve, thanks to DalzAle for sharing. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Pretty floral / herbal nose with some tropical fruit. The mango comes through in the flavor a little more. A touch on the sweet side. Some spicy hops. This was good but it didn’t blow me away like I had hoped. I’d like to try this again.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Hazy dark golden color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes gradually. Strings of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, yeast and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, cherry and yeast. The finish is oaky with a cherry and bourbon aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sampled at ABR 2014 and Great American Beer Festival. Dry grain and malt aromas. Some alcohol in the aroma as well. More grain in the flavor, with some light spice, possibly peppercorn? but I’m not sure. Carbonation is very low, which is fine for this kind of traditional ale. It seems very English in character to me.

Nice dirty orange color, flavor is peaches and bitter grapefruit rind. Has a nice creaminess to it that balances things out,

All Pints North, 2014. Orange copper color. Big citrus hops aroma and tons of citrus hops in the flavor, with good malt sweetness that still lets the hops remain prominent.
