Growler sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a beautiful, fairly clear, red-tinted amber (sort of like a rosοΏ½), with a medium white head. Nose bursts of rich resinous hops, fresh pine tree, coniferous, and a dry bready caramel malt backing - smells delectable. The flavour is very dry and foresty, with coniferous and pine trees, dry earthy hops, and a dry biscuity malt backing. Highly drinkable, with a very dry palate. An excellent IPA.

From cask at the brewpub. Pours cloudy dark orange with a creamy, off-white and lasting head. Aroma is fruity, peachy and mild pine, light toasted caramelish malty too. Creamy mouthfeel. Solid pine and grapefruity. Dry, almost herbal, bitter and toasted dry caramel malt. Bitter and dry finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden amber to hazzlenut brown with a small off white head. Aroma is solid blackberry fruity, perfumed. Dense blackberry flavoured, underlying mixed sweetness and light sourness. Medium sweet and light toasted malty, lasting blackberry fruity finish.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours lightly hazy with a small, filmy head. Slightly aged malts on the nose, rich caramel, ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor, light leafy bitterness, hefty caramel, mellow alcohol. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with some sturdy earthy and leafy bitterness, more caramel, dates, golden raisins, alcohol. Heavy duty beer.
