Growler @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Many thanks to Tyler for sending me a growler on our first trade ! Pitch black with a nice dark brown, lacing head. Roasted malt aroma and flavour with lots of coffee, chocolate, oak, vanilla and bourbon. Complex but well balanced. Nice full body. Wonderful

Growler received in trade from phisigben, thanks for the opportunity. Shared after a long day with HopasaurusRex. Pours a deep golden color with a decent bubbly white head that displays moderate retention and lace. Smells fantastic. Floral, pine, citrus and tropical fruity hops with hints of sweet bready malt deep underneath. Taste is resinous, fruity, pine, and citrus hops with a bit of sweet bready almost caramel malt. Fairly dry with a medium to light body. Moderate level of carbonation with a resinous mouthfeel. Nice flavorful hopification of a beer. If I lived in MN I would drink this all the time, but since I don’t I’m glad I got to try it.

On tap at GABF. Pours with a hazed golden body and a large white head. Aromas are pretty amazing. I have never smelled mango so freshly in a beer. Green, mango, papaya, hops, perfume. Very fresh. Reminds me of spring for some reason. Flavors are way too sweet though. Very good fruity notes, but a lasting sticky sweetness. Lively bubbles, a bit sticky.

Bottle that Jan left with me, consumed Thursday 27th Oct 2011 at home. Cheers Jan! Pours black, this is oily and thick like an oil slick in the glass. Fruitier and less heavy than expected, warmth from alcohol showing, sticky. Its a very nice big beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7
