Growler 200cl. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TFODRBSG11.[ Shared by Nightfall ]. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, oak - barrle notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt dark malt, dark malt, chocolate, cacao ! Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110820]

Growler, shared by Nightfall. It pours a black body under a finger-thick tan head. Licorice, roasted malts, soy notes, molasses and alcohol on the nose. It’s full-bodied and warming, sort of sticky sweet, yet dry on the palate. The flavor too is quite intense, with soy sauce notes, molasses and a roasted touch. Lasting finish. Overall, a wonderful beer, but it’s too intense and sweet to be really enjoyable in more than small doses. I think. 110820

Jet black with a small tan head. Aroma dominated by oak, with some licorice and chocolate and alcohol. Sweet vanilla, oak and chocolate flavour. Well brewed and intense in flavour but a little primitive with all that oak character dominating the beer.
