At brewpub: Pours a medium depth brown, much lighter than expected, with a modest tan head. Mild aroma is roasty and sweet. Flavor is heavily roasted chocolate malt, vanilla, and caramel. Some seemingly artificial sweetness. A little on the thin side. I have much higher expectations for their brews by now.

At brewpub: Shimmering orange amber hue is topped with a creamy sand colored head. Lots of sticky lacing. Sweet aroma with citrus and caramel. Taste is big and hoppy with lots of citrus and faint florals. Moderate piney notes and some more caramel. Very smooth and drinkable. Good stuff.

At brewpub: Near black with a finger of creamy brown head. Nose is moderate roast and light coffee. Very little sweetness. The taste is what sells me on this brew... Solid roast, some burnt malt and smokiness, espresso, and very light chocolate tones. A little bit of bittersweetness along the way. This is the beer that deserves all the hype/acclaim that Guinness gets. Well done Town Hall!

At brewpub: Orange color with a modest beige head. Nice bits of sticky lacing. Aroma is sort of faint, but hints at fruity sweetness and light florals. The flavor is a smooth fruity tropical sweetness up front, while still allowing the hops to be present in the tail. Nice clean finish with moderate bitters. Some hints of iced tea in the middle. Really quite good and a huge bonus the fruitiness didn’t kill the hoppiness.

Growler given to me by my generous sister and brother in law. Pour is slight hazed ruby deep brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma of fresh wood, vanilla oak, soft caramel, along with the peat (what is there is really muted). This nose is mostly about the barrel - it really smells like a freshly carved oak barrel. Taste is the wood right up front; sweet, vanilla, pretty harsh. The peat and malt is behind it, though certainly way in the back seat. Palate is medium, lightly carbonated - soft almost cask like body. Nice and gentle, fits nice with the flavor profile. Nice enough, though I remember liking the Town Hall normal Wee Heavy more.

This one falls short of the greatness of Twisted Reality. Still sweet. Moderately hopped, and the bourbon is present in the aroma. While I don’ think it destroys the beer, I am not sure it does much to help. Still, it doesn’t entirely overwhelm the other flavors. Sweet finish.

Winterfest 2010. Lots of coconut in the flavor and aroma. Very smooth palate on this beer. Mild coffee, and the chocolate is there, dry and a little bitter. Raspberry is also there and stands out quite a bit, competing with the coconut as the dominated character of this beer. Town Hall definitely knows how to do coconut.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a white head that laced a bit. Aroma was full of pine and grassy hops with a malt undertone. Flavor had nice pine flavor with a grassy and malty finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear amber with a slight orange hue. The head was white and laced very nicely. Aroma was mainly piney hops with an undertone of grainy malts. Flavor was full of pine hops with an undertone of citrus and malts.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a near clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces a bit. Aroma had a nice combination of pine and citrus hops with a nice undertone of sweet mango. A mango flavor throughout balanced nicely with the hops, first citrus, and then a pine finish.
