Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is sweet and sugar with some added spice. Flavor is super heavy with a sweeness that does not overpower like you think it would but is just kind of there. After the swallow it leaves a nice spice on the tounge. This was quite tasty and usually i’m not a fan of beer with honey. This was almost like a mead.

ABR 2008. Loads of hops everywhere in this hop-centric beer. The malt takes a back seat. Pine and citrus aroma, with more citrus in the flavor, along with flowers. Wonderfully bitter, with a mild hop burn that would surely be stronger if I had a full pint or 3.

ABR 2008. This is the most impressive new Town Hall beer I have had in a long time. The aroma is full of chocolate. Flavor has more of the same, rich, full-flavored chocolate flavor complemented by rich malt. Not perceivable hops. Thick and heavy palate. One of the best chocolate beers ever.

ABR 2008. Bourbon in the aroma and flavor, which for be generally means I won’t like it. Some malt in there as well, and the bourbon isn’t completely overpowering, even if I don’ care for it. Other than that, I would describe this as a mid quality porter.

Cask @ brewpub. Pint comes to me with no remnants of a head and a dark clear brown color. Aroma is light forest and bark that isn’t burnt but burnt-esque. A faint forest garbage poop in there as well (not as bad as it sounds). But all in all a decent aroma for what would be the wet dark weather of Scotland. Taste is a faint brownie with light muddy leaves. Its very contained and subtle. An easy drinking with a medium, felt body. Now I am interested in the tap version.

Pint @ brewpub. Color is completely lucid dark straw. Aroma is a bit macro/corny, maybe not lagered long enough. Some light off putting fruit flavors as well. Taste us a bit empty, bland and uninteresting. Not much more to say.

Pint @ brewpub. Color is completely clear straw color with almost no remnants of a head. Not enticing visually at all. Aroma is very clean, lightly doughy, lightly herbal, malts. There is a subtle touch of sweet smoke. Taste is a bit more crisp with some light herbal hops coming through. Finishes with a beautiful light smoke that sits on the back of the throat for a while. And I get something like just a touch of jalapeño. May just be a cool way that the hops are presenting themselves. Has a nicely easy drinking, light mouthfeel as well. I really like this light smoked, a bit more than the Schlenkerla.

Pour is a amber with a small white head. Aroma is fruity with some of the hops showing up. Flavor was a let down. It was as if they had a pale ale and threw some fruit juice in it but nothing worked. Finish was swet and flat.
