Mainstream take on a tropical pale ale. Not much more to say than that. Blah

375ml can into schooner glass. Golden amber beer with frothy (!) white head and high carbonation. Slight haze. Bit of lacing. Not much nose, maybe a touch of tin and vinegar. Slightly bitter metallic taste. Finish is doughy malt with tiny touches of smoky pepper. Nothing outstanding but not horrible either.

Can. Amber with a collapsing white head. Aroma is grainy and weedy with some peach and spice. Watery, fizzy. Dryish with bread crust, vague fruit, firmish bitterness that's peppery and weedy. Refreshing. Poor Matilda Bay. A once great name without a home reduced to making knockoffs Aldi would blush at - and still failing.

From a 355ml bottle on 18/9/2018, a day after trying the underwhelming Lazy Yak. Pours a clear light golden with the tiniest of heads. Has a very slight nose with just some muted fruitiness. The same goes for the flavour - some light fruit sweetness against a sweet malt background, with a very gentle hint of bitterness at the back. Light bodied with average carbonation. What can I say. A fair bit worse than Fat Yak, a touch better than Lazy Yak, marginally better than your typical macro pale, but an inferior APA.The label describes it as a 'fresh and fruity tropical beast'. That is utter bullshit.

Pours a fairly clear golden with a smallish head which disappears quickly. The aroma is barely perceptible - just a hint of sweet malt and fruit. The flavour features a sweet cereal-like malt and some indistinct, muted fruit sweetness. Bugger all bitterness. Lightish bodied with average carbonation. Not sure what they were going for with this, but it presents as a bad shandy.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, snd a bit of hops, leading to a bitter finish.
