Sampled @ NL Speciaalbier Festival Den Bosch 2017. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, grainy, sweetish grainy sugars, bitter aftertaste. Hmm it feels like a strong pilsner and I don’t really it. Not a bad beer but not my style.

Draught @ Proeflokaal Arendsnest, Herengracht 90, Amsterdam, Netherlands 1015 BS. [ As Arn Brouwerij Blonde Arn ].Unclear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, moderate yeasty, belgium yeast, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, pale malt, fruity malt - fruity yeast, belgium yeast, fruity. Bottle at home. Mahogany with small beige head. Red grapes, dusty cocoa, dark bread, dried plums, raisins, cola, red berries. Quite fruity, but also dusty and bready. Medium sweet and bitter and light sour. Medium bodied. Bit weird.

Bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Very dark reddish brown with barely any head. Peat, roasted malts, some marzipan and caramel, sherry, dried berries, ash. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with low carbonation. A waste of the Ardbeg really.

caramel/donker bruin met fijne witte kraag. aroma is zeer stevig, turf, hout, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, pek, veengrond. Smaken van graan, enorme bek vol met veengrond en zachte gladde turf achtige whisky, matige body. ok

Dark, if clear deep redbrown beer; good cream-coloured head, slightly irregular and reasonably stable. Rainwater, leafy, slightly earthy, coloured malts/melanoidins. Quite malty flavour, coloured malts as chocolate malt, and a bit of other grains. Faintlysalty/fishy flaour - DMS? But nothing very exciting. Medium bodied and quite slick, good carbonation. Flavours petering out Ho-hum.

Creamy head, dark-cream coloured, fast gone over ruby-shot black beer. Phenolic, tarr, Islay whisky - OK, Ardbeg, I ’suppose’ - even smoked and very intense. Wood, tarr, bit oatmeal-ish, mild chocolate, Ersatz coffee, very soft in the phenols flavourwise. Iodine, cacaopowder. Medium to well-bodied, low carbonation, quite slick. Nose promised more... with whisky infuseion, and yet only 9.5%, I’m wondering...
