About
Kompaan had humble beginnings, with just a few recipes and a whole lot of gusto. The brewery was founded by Jeroen and Jasper, two school friends that have known each other longer than not. They shared a zest for life and were ready to put The Hague on the craft beer map. The brewery name is based on this friendship, two companions drinking together. As a modern, young brewery making contemporary, exciting beers, the name is spelt in modern Dutch, as “kompaan”, and not “compaen”.

Can. Clear dark golden. Caramel malts, light strawberries, cream, grassy, light butter, peach yoghurt. Medium sweet and quite bitter. Medium bodied with slick oily body. Not amazing.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Near opaque black brown beer, decent tan head. Fairly light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Dark chocolate Malteasers into fruity earthy coffee. A light and semi dry finish. Nice flavour, the body wants for a bit of substance.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Cooling pine into bright citrus peel and a decent showing of candy fruits. Mild hop spice on the semi dry finish. Good brew.

Hazy, copper-golden color and a small White head with Lots of flowting parts. Tart and fruity nose, Lots of citric fruits, sour Taste, rather short finish. Really refreshing

A hazy bright golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of old stone fruits, apricot, apples. Taste of sweet yellow stone fruits, apricot, ripe stone fruits, citra, mild bitterness.

Can at home, hazy orange beer, small head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, hops, malt, citrus, fruit. Taste is malt, sweet, caramel, hops, citrus, yellow fruit, not bad.

44cl Blik, dank Harmen! Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Hoppig, citrus, bloemig, licht fruitig, fris, licht harsig, degelijk bitter. Lichte body. Lekker licht bier, vol van smaak.
