Description
New Quay Honey Farm started in 1995 when my parents made the move from Dairy Farming to Bee Farming. We had been beekeeping in the family for years; I started at the age of nine after some encouragement and guidance from a neighbour, and on buying my first hive the interest was sparked in all of us.
We now have hundreds of hives spread across the beautiful Ceredigion countryside in small groups which give us a beautifully blended honey from the depth and diversity of the wildflowers in the county.

20cl bottle - Pours a reddish brown colour with no head. The aroma is blackberry, honey with sweet herby notes. A sweet smooth taste, honey, blackberry and light sweet herbal flavours and a some alcohol in the finish. Nice.

Bottle from the Horns of Odin stand, which was a bit of a saving grace in the midst of the Comicon show that my daughter forced me to take her to. Don't think I've had a cyser before. It's a clear gold in hue with a light fizz. Tangy apple skins to the fore, with black pepper and chilli spice to follow. There's a little sweet honey and a hint of flowers in the background, but for me tangy and spicy were my main thoughts. Very tasty and intriguing; I enjoyed it. Everything I've had from the New Quay honey farm has been good (their honeys and marmalades are excellent too) and I'll definitely pick up more of their products if I see them anywhere.

330ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours a clear pale straw yellow, thin white head of bubbles circling the glass. Aroma of floral honey. Fine, light carbonation. Medium sweet honey blending nicely with a sweet apple fruit profile, fairly clean overall, very lightly tangy, quite accessible and easy-drinking. Decent.
