Draught at the brewpub. OK hop aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Frothy white head. The flavour is malty and slightly dusty. The carbonation seems a little high. Medium bitterness. Quite pleasant.

(from the tap at the brewpub) Slightly hazy yellow colour with a short but stable frothy white head. Yeasty and herbal hoppy aroma. Bitter flavour, medium to light bodied, well-carbonated. Hop-accented and yeasty taste on a solid malty base; dry, yeast-bitter and light hoppy finish (04.06.06).

(from the tap at the brewpub) Hazy, dark amber colour with a short frothy beige head. Sweet malty and toasty, slightly molassy aroma with caramel, red berries and shy notes of herbal hops. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium to full body, crispy carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel, red berries and prunes; medium-dry malty finish with fruity and bitter-yeasty notes and a touch of cinnamon in the aftertaste. The high ABV is surprisingly well-integrated and warming. Not a world-shaking but quaffable strong Maibock, that could have ripened a bit longer (04.06.06).
