500ml bottle at home as May’s Cider. Pours a deep gold. Medium dry on the palette, with a pale fruity aftertaste. Not too bad,

Bottle that I picked up from Oakchurch, Herefordshire, consumed at home Sunday 9th September 2012 I have had this kicking about in the fridge for some considerable time, not entirely certain where I got it but Oakchurch would be my guess. Fairly run of the mill cider in fact erring to the side of a tad boring. Sweet and with a busy carbonation, appley but lacking a real bite. Ok but could do better. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

Bottle from ASDA. 4.5% ABV per the label. Golden with plenty of fizz. Sweetish apple fruit aroma with a hint of caramel. Flavour also inclined towards sweetness, with plenty more juicy fruit and a soft finish. Not a huge amount of character but inoffensive drinking, that was preferable to all other ’over ice’ ciders I have sampled.

Bottle from Oakchurch Farm Shop, Brecon Road Staunton On Wye Herefordshire 28.11.10 consumed later that night The front label states that it is 7% but interestingly the back label says 5.5%. Pours gold with a busy fizziness, some woody flavours , soft apples. Tangy apples nice and fruity, quite sweet and occasionally comes across as a bit mass produced in flavour but I like it the more I sip. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
