Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet fresh citrus. Medium body, sweet caramel and fresh peachy and citrusy hops. Discreetly bitter. Lovely and very drinkable. 240410

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a pale golden yellow. Aroma of corn and grass. Flavour is pretty mild, along the same lines. Just drinkable.

Golden amber but not much head. Earthy, chewy aroma with slightly woody hops. Sweetish example, chewy with vanilla-like sweetness and some woody, earthy notes. Thanks Alex!

Bottle: Poured a clear deep amber color ale wit a large off-white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of deep caramel malt and molasses is more interesting then expected. Taste of also a very nice mix between some caramel malt and light sweet molasses but ending is somewhat weird with some light DMS notes. Body is full for the style with good carbonation. Good and more complex then style would suggest and would have gotten a better rating is it was not for the DMS.

Clear very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin white head - not much. Aroma of bright citrus, strong malt and wheat, some light spices and a bit of corn. Light-bodied; Strong wheatie and malty flavour with some fake sugar tastes piled on top, then with some corn type flavours as well. Aftertaste is less than complex, a bit mild with some malt and a tiny touch of hops thrown in. Overall, not so great - but good to try in the end. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Sherbrooke Liquors in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 27-December-2008, sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 28-March-2009.

Rerate from tap. Amber, low head. Honeyish aromatics, metallic edges, mellow medium light most, strawberry finish. Certainly more interesting than last time I had it. If they would put the clean light body and fruits of this beer into the kölsch, it would be a winner. Old rating: 6 3 6 2 10bottle. Light perfumed aroma. Amber, golden head. Light body and light on the palate, honeyish a hint roast. Not super interresting.

Bottle: Poured a light black color porter with a big foamy head with some good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of subtle smoked malt with some roasted malt notes in intriguing but maybe a tad weak. Taste is also dominated by the roasted malt notes with some medium smoky notes. Body is definitely too watery and filtrated for the style with some good carbonation. A good base with some nice characteristics but lacking a bit of power too makes this truly interesting.

Bottle: Poured a whitish yellow color beer with a big bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of malt with some discernable hops are quite pleasant. Taste is refreshing and pleasurable at first with a good grainy malt presence and some light bitter hops. After a couple of sip I started to feel a creamy buttery taste reminiscent of dyacetil that was not overly enjoyable.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, while the flavor plainly is sweet malty, with a dry end.
