Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dark brown black with a slight darkish tan head. Aroma of chocolate and alcohol. Smooth and full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, earthy chocolate, dark malt, and then the chocolate turns in to bourbon. The heat burns the gullet a bit. Really a very nice drink, if a bit hot.

Bottle. Inky thick dark brown. Soy sauce and rich toffee dark sugars. Taste is a bit thin, with a lot of dark sugars, and a hint of barrel. Not a ton of flavour development. At warmer temperatures this gets more vibrant and nuanced.

Bottle - Whisky barrel, nutty, coconut and roasty notes. Deep brown with a light brown head. Sweet whisky and light barrel notes with chocolate and vinous notes.

Draft pour pint at the brewery. Finally made it here for a beer. Pours a thick black color with w full inch of tan foam head. Roasted malt forward aroma. Delicious porter here. Lighter body, sweet chocolate up front with a more robust coffee like finish. Light cream flavor throughout. Awesome.

At the brewery. Sweetish, caramelly character with a soft body and a little bit of toastiness in the finish. Medium chestnut.

Beer #12 of 13 in blind tasting.
Notes getting even shorter than short. Decent. Muted acidity (???), slightly mineral. Overdone dark malts.
In the aggregate, slightly above average.

Bottle. Not expecting much here. Pours opaque black with a small brown head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is a bit burnt, anise, cocoa, chocolate, roasted malts, molasses. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, lots of blackstrap molasses and roasty notes. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty solid straight impy.

22 Oz bottle poured. Thanks to Tcon for sharing. Cola like pour with a big fizzy brown head. Soft aroma of chocolate and whiskey barrel. Flavor goes just about everywhere. Vanilla, Oatmeal cookie, chocolate, Dark fruit, And smooth whiskey. Finishes just a bit boozy, but not enough to be offputting. Sweet stout with a ton of flavor. Very well done. Update: more whiskey this time around. Slight coffee bitter finish. Has a caramel sweetness throughout. Fantastic stuff. Even better this time.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of whiskey, light smoke, caramel malts, and roast. Flavour brings out medium strength bourbon notes, a touch of smoke and light roast. Rather mellow for a BA impie stout. Nicely balanced, with a velvety palate. Very nice stuff.

On tap at Skagit River, pours a cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity and yeasty, with citrus zest in there as well. Flavour brings out mostly citrus zest, with a good floral hop bite, and some yeast. Very nicely constructed, with the citrus zest on top. Nice saison.
