Description
In 1905, Thomas Fentiman, an iron puddler from Cleckheaton, England was approached by a fellow tradesman for a loan. A deal was struck and a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer was provided as security. The loan was never repaid so Thomas became the owner of the unique recipe.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT ADD FENTIMAN'S GINGER BEERS HERE. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED ON BREWVER.

Visit of the Harry Potter studios with the cousins! Very sweet, thick, gummy, not really a beer, hence no rating, but this is fun!

29/4/2018. Bottle from Amazon as Fentimans Lemon Shandy. Pours golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of lemons, sugar and light malt. Towards heavy sweetness, very light bitterness. Moderate body, sticky texture, average to soft carbonation. Quite enjoyable for what it is.

01/04/17. Wedding at Tattersall’s, Newmarket. This was a tick. Saccharine sweet aroma. Light brown. Scarcely a white head. Sweet and sour. Sugary. Lemon. Any beer is there but in the background. Watery. Lively carbonation. The saccharine returns in the finish. OK. Would rather have one of Fentiman’ s cokes.

Bottle. Appearance - golden with a very thin head. Nose - lemon, hint of ginger and sweet malt. Taste - more of the same. sugary lemon linger. Palate - light bodied, sweet, etc. Overall - good for what it is. It’s just not a real drink.

Bottle from Total Wine. Crystal clear golden yellow color, white head that persists. Lemon and grapefruit aroma. Taste is lightly bitter mixed citrus. Full bodied as its name implies, at least compared to most other shandies.
